Museums of Russia: World’s largest museum of bathyscaphes opened in Kronstadt

Russia’s first and world’s largest museum of small submersible mobile vessels has been inaugurated in Kronstadt.

The open-air museum located at the pier by Petrovsky Park in Kronstadt is open at weekends. The exposition is part of the military and historical park of the Western Military District.  

Although the collections of submersibles can be found in other oceanographic museums around the world, the exposition in St. Petersburg is considered the world’s largest.
