Marking the Defender of the Fatherland Day: Victory Museum in Moscow to hold festive events

23 February 2021

The Victory Museum (Moscow) presents a program of offline and online events marking the Defender of the Fatherland Day, which is celebrated in Russia on February 23.

The museum will provide a tour of the "Engines of War" exhibition, which gives a unique chance to learn about the cars of the Great Patriotic War and the Second World War. The museum collection contains the rarest exhibits (many of them are single copies). The exhibition will reveal exciting information about the automotive industry in pre-war and war times both in Russia and abroad. Museum visitors will have an opportunity to explore the cars and feel like war drivers.

The museum will also hold the "Serving Russia" festive concert, which is part of the "Cranes of Victory" festival in the Generals' Hall.

The anteroom by the "Konev" Hall will host an exhibition of war trophies of the "Trizna" search movement.

The Victory Museum's portal prepared an online program.

At 13:00 and 17:30, the Victory Museum releases free Zoom tours. Thanks to modern technology, virtual visitors will attend the Hall of Historical Truth, the "Feat of the Army" exposition, and the "Counteroffensive near Moscow" diorama. The guides will tell about the defenders of the Fatherland - heroes of the Great Patriotic War and their selfless deeds.

At 15:00, the Victory Museum's website will broadcast a festive concert as part of the "Cranes of Victory" festival.

At 16:30, there will be an online concert of the "Wind of Victory" military song club. The best military songwriters - veterans of military service and war participants, will present their songs and musical compositions.
