Exhibitions: The exposition “The Magic of a New Year toy: from the history of Christmas tree decorations of 50-60s of the XX century” in Feodosia
December 25, 2014 the Feodosia Museum of Antiquities hosts the exhibition “The Magic of a New Year toy: from the history of Christmas tree decorations of 50-60s of the XX century”.
The exhibition features more than 120 Christmas toys and more than 70 toys for tree-baby. The toys were made of cotton wool, cardboard, papier-mâché, glass. No tree was without beads and tubes from glass beads, and the exhibition also features magic beads of three types. A special interest is toys, created on fairy tales – these are Snow Maiden, Little Red Riding Hood, Buratino, Old Hottabych and others.
Sets of Christmas toys for the decoration of tree-babes appeared at the same period. The exhibition features the tree, decorated with mini-toys and a set of Christmas toys: Father Frost and Snow Maiden, garlands from flags and beads, a skydiver and a cosmonaut, pyramids and vegetables and others.
The exhibition in the Feodosia Museum of Antiquities will be exhibited until the end of January 2015.
