The Kolomenskoye Museum-Reserve presents the Peter I. Myths and Legends exhibition, marking the 350th anniversary since the birth of the first Russian Emperor. Exposition runs in the Big exhibit hall of the Tsar Aleksey Mikhaylovich’s Palace and features over 120 items: weapons, furniture and household goods from the Peter’s era, portraits of the ruler and his entourage, unique icons.

“An assault of the dead. The legend of the Osowiec Fortress” movie by Andrei Grachev screening with disputation took place during a regular meeting of the Presidential Library Cinema Club. The movie is dedicated to one of the most striking and yet little-known exploits of Russian soldiers during the First World War. A small garrison of the fortress had to survive only 48 hours — instead, it acted in the defensive for more than six months — 190 days. It went through a deadly gas attack and won!

Name, Symbol, Legend" exhibition, marking the 800th anniversary of the Grand Prince's birth State, will be launched in the anteroom of the Armoury Chamber of the Moscow Kremlin Museums. The exhibition features key items from the Armoury Chamber's collection related to the image and many centuries of the history of veneration of the famous sovereign and commander: awards, ceremonial weapons, rare icons and much more.
