The name of Sofya Kovalevskaya is often associated with the words "first" and "pioneering". She was the world's first woman to become a professor of mathematics, the first woman in Russia to hold this position, and the first woman corresponding member of the Imperial Academy of Sciences. Presidential Library enriches collections with new publications marking the day of Mariupol's foundation

On September 15, 2024, the city of Mariupol will celebrate its 246th anniversary. The Presidential Library's collection has been enriched with a new publication, Mariupol: The Renaissance, by Rostov-based photojournalist Sergey Venyavsky.
