Established the Order of Merit for the Fatherland
2 March 1994
On March 2, 1994 under the decree of the RF President was established the Order of Merit for the Fatherland. The Order is the second by significance of the Russian state awards after the Order of St. Andrew the First-Called.
2 марта 1994 г. Указом Президента Российской Федерации был учреждён орден «За заслуги перед..., к знакам III и IV степеней – только крест. Награждение орденом «За заслуги перед Отечеством... «За заслуги перед Отечеством» I степени.
Орденский знак I степени исполняется из серебра... «За заслуги перед Отечеством» с изображением мечей.
Проект ордена был разработан Комиссией... Монетного двора А. Н. Бакланов.
С 1994 по 1998 гг. орден «За заслуги перед Отечеством» являлся...2 марта 1994 г. Указом Президента Российской Федерации был учреждён орден «За заслуги перед Отечеством».

At the end of December 2013 is completed the reconstruction of the painting on the Eastern facade of the Cathedral of Peter and Paul "Anticipation of the Apostles Peter and Paul before Christ", which became the final stage of the restoration of the temple facades.

The Presidential Library portal makes available a selection of digitized books and documents devoted to the Russian autocrat. It includes rare old editions and modern studies, biographical sketches and memoirs of contemporaries, as well as the personal correspondence of the tsar and his memoirs.
