The first round of the interactive “Russia in the digital world” Olympiad ran by the Presidential Library is closing on December 11th 2011. At present, tasks of the first stage have been successfully completed by senior pupils and students of basic and secondary vocational institutions from cities and villages from over 80 regions of the Russian Federation.

On April 7, 2021, the State Museum of Oriental Art (Moscow) will launch athe "Walking to the Stars" exhibition by the cosmic artist Boris Smirnov-Rusetsky. It marks a significant date - the 60th anniversary of the first manned space-flight in history. On April 12, 1961, the Soviet cosmonaut Yuri Gagarin became the first man who made the flight around the planet Earth.

On 28 April 2025, the Presidential Library hosted the opening of a unique exhibition dedicated to the 80th anniversary of the Great Victory. The exposition is presented on plasma panels and tablets. On November 14, 2018 the National Library of Russia Manuscripts Department (St. Petersburg) mounted the exhibition “Afanasiy Fyodorovich Bychkov: Marking the Bicentenary of Birth”. The exhibition is dedicated to the life and career of the academician Afanasiy Fyodorovich Bychkov, who had worked in the Imperial Public Library for a long time and was appointed its director in 1882. The exhibition will be open until December 7.

The Presidential Library hosted a cinema club meeting dedicated to the centenary anniversary of Mikhail Kalashnikov. The event was co-organized by the Military Historical Museum of Artillery, Engineers and Signal Corps. At the end of watching the film by Rasim Poloskin “Kalashnikov. A Man and an Assault Rifle”, the meeting participants, mainly cadets of military schools, talked about creating a unique “kalash” and a non-standard personality of its designer.
