On the eve of the 74th anniversary of the lifting of the siege of Leningrad, the staff of the Russian Center for Science and Culture in Rome congratulated the survivors of those terrible years, Klara Averyanova and Nadezhda Kirilovna Nikolaeva. Blockade women, now living with their families in Rome, were given bouquets of roses and gifts with wishes of excellent health and happiness.

On November 16 (6 old style), November 1673, the future Russian statesman and military leader, favorite and associate of the reformer Tsar Peter I, the first St. Petersburg Governor-General Alexander Menshikov (1673-1729), was born in Moscow. A new research library has opened at the Historical and Architectural Museum Reserve of Tobolsk (Tyumen Oblast). Located at the museum’s Prison Castle it recreates interiors of 19th c. based on photos of that time.

Созданы экспозиции, одна из которых воссоздаёт интерьер губернской библиотеки, вторая....
Хотя интерьер библиотеки создавался в стиле XIX века, но в ней много современного оборудования...-архитектурного музея-заповедника. Она воссоздана по фотографиям интерьеров XIX века и разместилась в Тюремном замке музея.

The Tsarskoe Selo State Museum and Heritage Site opened the first thirteen interiors of the Alexander Palace just after restoration. It is the private apartments of Emperor Nicholas II and his wife Alexandra Feodorovna. The large-scale renovation began in 2012. The palace was closed to visitors for the last seven years. The works at the Alexander Palace will be finished no earlier than 2023.
