Schoolchildren of Yakutia met a descendant of Alexander Pushkin

Yakut schoolchildren joined the conference and webinar “Alexander Pushkin's Memorial Day in the Presidential Library”. This became possible thanks to online inclusion from the site of the National Library of Republic of Sakha (Yakutia), based on the Regional Center of the Presidential Library. The theme of the conference in 2024: “Alexander Pushkin – family – Russia”. The event was held as part of the Year of the Family, declared by the President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin.

On May 31, 2018 at 13:00 the Presidential Library will host a video lecture from the cycle "Knowledge of Russia" on the topic "Education, Science, Church: Joint Responses to the Challenges of Modern Civilization", which will link St. Petersburg and Simferopol. The video lecture will be held within the framework of the International Scientific Conference on the Day of Remembrance of St. Luke, Archbishop of Simferopol and Crimea, Professor V. F. Voino-Yasenetsky.

The Presidential Library illustrates the Battle for Leningrad in the Great Patriotic War

"The longest, fierce and heroic battle of the Great Patriotic War entered the history of the Second World War as a phenomenon that still causes great interest of Russian and foreign researchers", writes military historian Nikolai Oleinik in a dissertation Battle for Leningrad: Study of Events and Analysis of Losses in the Luban Offensive Operation (January-July 1942). Its digital copy is available on the Presidential Library's portal.

April 29, 2021 the Presidential Library, as part of the Knowledge of Russia project, hosted a video lecture entitled "Alexander Nevsky’s Historical Memory", timed to coincide with the 800th anniversary of the birth of the Faithful Saint Prince. His anniversary will be celebrated on May 13, 2021. The event spotlighted the personality of Alexander Nevsky and the peculiarities of the historical era he lived.
