Only victory and life: The Presidential Library provides new materials marking the 75th anniversary of the complete liberation of Leningrad from the Nazi siege

January 27, 2019 marks 75 years since the complete liberation of Leningrad from the Nazi siege. Thus, the Presidential Library presents the updated section “Defenders of the Fatherland: Living Memory”, part of the collection “Memory of the Great Victory”, which is available on the institution’s portal. The section has been enriched with memories of real heroes - people who not only survived those terrible 872 days, but managed to retain the best human qualities.

Unique documentary materials about the blockade of Leningrad to enrich the Presidential Library’s collections in the framework of a new large-scale project

The large-scale project dedicated to preserving the historical memory of the blockade of Leningrad of 1941-1944 has been launched in the Presidential Library. The highlight to preserve and distribute objective information about the blockade was discussed at a round table in the building on Senate Square by representatives of the authorities and clergy, public and youth organizations, veterans and historians, scientists and journalists.

Marking the 60th anniversary of the first manned space-flight, the official website of the Roscosmos State Corporation released a section devoted to Yuri Alekseevich Gagarin and manned astronautics. The new section is in the Information Resources tab. The way to it from the main page of the website leads through clicking on the logo of the 60th anniversary of Yuri Gagarin in 2021.
