The Presidential Library takes part in the Vorontsovs and England International Scientific and Practical Conference

From September 4-6, 2019, the Alupka Palace and Park Museum-Reserve, the State Autonomous Cultural Institution of the Republic of Crimea, will host the Vorontsov and England International Scientific and Practical Conference. The idea of the event is based on the close business and friendly ties of several generations of the Vorontsovs with the United Kingdom.

The results of the X Olympiad in the Russian language, which the Russian-British Cultural Center "RUBRIC" annually organizes on the eve of the Day of Russia and the Day of the Russian Language, have been summed up in Great Britain. In 2020, the event was traditionally supported by the representative office of Rossotrudnichestvo and the Russian Heritage Society in the United Kingdom.

On June 8, 2022 the Presidential Library hosted a video lecture “Russian comics of the Kingdom of Yugoslavia” as part of the cultural and educational project Knowledge of Russia. The event, organized by the Presidential Library and the Russian Center of Science and Culture in Belgrade, was the second in the Russian comics series.

A unique study on the history of comics enriched the Presidential Library’s collections

The Russian drawn story which history goes back several centuries, remains unknown for many people. Irina Antanasievich, Doctor of Philology of the University of Belgrade (Serbia), clarified a question. She donated a unique book to the Presidential Library’s collection, the fruit of a long-term study - Russian Comics of the Kingdom of Yugoslavia (2018).

The exhibition “The Dutch House. Dreams of Peter the Great” was staged on December 8, 2018 in the White Hall of the Grand Peterhof Palace. It is prepared by the Peterhof Museum in cooperation with “Pro Arte” Foundation as part of the 3rd St. Petersburg Biennale of Museum Design and supported by the St. Petersburg Committee for Culture, Consulate General of the Netherlands in St. Petersburg and the Danish Cultural Institute.
