Established the Order of Merit for the Fatherland
2 March 1994
On March 2, 1994 under the decree of the RF President was established the Order of Merit for the Fatherland. The Order is the second by significance of the Russian state awards after the Order of St. Andrew the First-Called.

The A. A. Deineka Kursk Picture Gallery until May 25, 2018 hosts an art exhibition "On the Fire Arc" created on the basis of a collection of posters and front-line drawings from the funds of the Victory Museum (Moscow) and dedicated to the Battle of Kursk. In total, the exhibition presents about 50 works of art, which were created in 1943 by more than three dozen artists.

At the end of December 2013 is completed the reconstruction of the painting on the Eastern facade of the Cathedral of Peter and Paul "Anticipation of the Apostles Peter and Paul before Christ", which became the final stage of the restoration of the temple facades.
