The Presidential Library handles the memory of Konstantin Eduardovich Tsiolkovsky with care by publishing and expending its portal’s collection of rare publications, dedicated to the life and work of the founder of Russian cosmonautics, his works on the theory of air and star navigation, rocket science, astronomy, physics, biology, as well as philosophical and sci-fi works.

May 15 traditionally marks an International Family Day, established by the UN General Assembly in 1993. The Presidential Library’s collections contain a large number of materials that feature outstanding people from the informal side. Through letters, memoirs of contemporaries, we can see them through the eyes of loved ones, understand how they were at home, how they felt about their people.

The manuscript of the Moliere's "School for Husbands", dated 1754, is one of the rarities featured at "Jean-Baptiste Moliere - France's greatest playwright" Exhibition which opened on April 3, 2012 at the State Theatre Library (St. Petersburg). The institution dates back to 1756 and is the oldest theater libraries in the country.

The Presidential Library tells about the fate of the wives of the Decembrists

11 women went to hard labor and settlement in Siberia, following their husbands who took part in the 1825 uprising on Senate Square in St. Petersburg. The “voluntary exiles” were young, belonged to the most worthy families in Russia and firmly believed in the oath of fidelity given to the spouse during the wedding sacrament.
