Information Technologies and Society: The first virtual reality cinema in country is opened in Moscow

The first mobile cinema in Russia, combining the familiar 5D-technologies and virtual reality, is opened on February 21, 2018 in the Jewish Museum and Tolerance Center in the Russian capital. Its visitors will be able to take a walk around Moscow during the Silver Age or go into space.

April 15, 2020 marks the 134th anniversary of the birth of Nikolai Stepanovich Gumilyov (1886–1921), the poet of the Silver Age, creator of the School of Acmeism and the “Workshop of Poets”, playwright, literary critic, translator, traveler, officer of the Uhlansky regiment, gentleman of the two George Crosses. The Presidential Library’s collections contain abstracts of dissertations that reveal the rich oeuvre of Nikolai Stepanovich Gumilyov.

October 22, 2020 marks the 150th anniversary of the birth of Ivan Alekseevich Bunin (1870-1953) - one of the most talented representatives of the Silver Age in prose and poetry, winner of the 1933 Nobel Prize in Literature. The electronic collections of the Presidential Library contain not only digitized copies of editions of his works of the early 20th century, photographs, letters, but also research papers dedicated to the writer, abstracts of dissertations.

The Presidential Library hosted the grand opening of the exhibition “Cimmeria by Maximilian Voloshin. 1920”, dedicated to an important period in the life and career of a prominent representative of the Silver Age, cultural figure, poet, translator and artist. The exposition features paintings, photographs and archival documents, books and personal belongings of the writer from the collection of the Voloshin House-Museum (House of the Poet) in Koktebel.
