History of the state authority in Russia
Documents and editions revealing the history of formation and development of the state authority in Russia from the 9th century until today appear in the section as chronological blocks featuring particularities of the state authority system in a certain historical period. There is a special block which treats with materials on diversity of forms of public administration in 1917-1922. The blocks specially highlight the materials about supreme, central and local bodies of state power, and the role of church power in the public administration (during grand-ducal, tsarist and imperial periods), about the role of the Communist Party in the Soviet state system, the cooperation between the state power and local authorities during the imperial and modern ages. The materials covering modern times have been grouped in accordance with discrimination of powers between different branches of authority.
