St. Nicholas Church

This temple is a unique example of the cult architecture of the second half of the XIX century. Monument is dedicated to the defenders of Sevastopol during the Crimean War. It was built in 1857—1870 upon the project of an architect A. A. Avdeev. During the Great Patriotic War, the memorial temple was severely damaged; the building was restored to its initial appearance.

St. Vladimir’s Cathedral

The construction of the temple in neo-Byzantine style was conducted in 1854—1888 upon a project of architects K. A. Ton and A. A. Avdeev. The temple is known as the burial place of Russian admirals and naval officers.

St. Vladimir’s Cathedral (Tauric Chersonesus)

It was built on the place of the baptism of the Grand Duke Vladimir Svyatoslavich, which was held in 988. The author of the project is academician of architecture D. I. Grimm. It took 30 years from 1861 to 1891 to build it. Destroyed during the Great Patriotic War. Work on its restoration began in the late 1990s. The restored church began functioning in 2004.

Church of the Holy Apostles Peter and Paul

Construction of the temple was conducted from 1840 to 1844 upon a project of V. A. Rulev. During the First and Second Defense of Sevastopol, the temple was almost completely destroyed, but then every time newly rebuilt. In 1931 the church services in the church were terminated. In 1946, the cathedral accommodated the premises of city archive, then — the Theater named after A. V. Lunacharsky, later — the City House of Culture. In 2006, the cathedral was returned to the church community.

St. Clement of Rome Inkermansky Monastery

This is one of the oldest cave monasteries in the Crimea. The main premises of the monastery are carved in the western sheer drop of the Monastery Cliff. Historians determine the time of its foundation ambiguously: from the VIII-IX to the XIV-XV centuries. The earthquake of 1927 severely damaged the Annunciation and Nicholas churches, and it was decided to disassemble them. In 1931, the worship services in the cave temples were terminated, and the monastery was closed. The revival of the monastery began in 1991.
