Church of the Resurrection

It was built in 1892 upon the project of Academician N. M. Chagin in a memory of a salvation of the Emperor Alexander III and his family in the wreck of the train on October 17, 1888, at the station of Borki of the Kursk-Kharkov Railroad. The tea-grower and the owner of the Foros estate, located under the Krasnaya (lit. red) Cliff, A. G. Kuznetsov donated money for its construction.

Tunnel near Baidar Gates

Tunnel boring through the cliff was executed in the XIX century during the construction of the Sevastopol Highway. It became a visiting card of Foros and had a custom name the “Foros Grotto.” It was exploded during the Great Patriotic War by the German troops in their retreat in 1944.
