Cultural events in Russia and abroad
On December 3, 2018 the Pushkin State Russian Language Institute (Moscow) is presenting the exhibition “Turgenev: French Life of the Russian Novel”, which marks the bicentenary of the birth of Ivan Sergeevich Turgenev. The exhibition is organized with the assistance of “History of the Fatherland” Foundation. It showcases letters, books, photographs, etchings and portraits, Russian and French newspapers and bills, and multimedia, including interactive tests on Turgenev’s oeuvre.
On December 7, 2018 the Grand Palace of the State Tsaritsyno Museum-Reserve (Moscow) is mounting the exhibition “Charity in Russia aided by the Imperial House of Romanov”. On display are over 1000 exhibits on loan from state museums and archives of Moscow, St. Petersburg, Nizhny Novgorod, and private collections.
In 2018 the State Museum of Art of Novgorod Land teamed up with the Murom Museum of History and Art to take part in the “Collection+” Interregional Virtual Exhibition Project. As a part of it six virtual exhibitions about the culture of Novgorod Land and Vladimir Region will be arranged and made available on official websites of museums. Two more exhibitions of the project are due on December 7.
The Youth Forum of the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS) is held on December 3-6, 2018 in Moscow.The event is organized by the Moscow State Institute of International Relations (MGIMO University) of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation, the Federal Agency for Youth Affairs with assistance of the Council for Youth Affairs of CIS countries and the National Council of Youth and Children’s Associations of the Russian Federation.
