On December 14, 2021 the Presidential Library hosted the fourth annual conference "The Constitution of Russia Yesterday, Today, Tomorrow", timed to coincide with the Constitution Day of the Russian Federation. The conference was organized by the Boris Yeltsin Presidential Center Foundation, the Presidential Library, the Commissioner for Human Rights in St. Petersburg and the St. Petersburg University of Management Technologies and Economics.

Many people know about the unpredictability of the weather in the city on the Neva. And if rain is a common phenomenon, then a sudden snowfall becomes a real test for the city. “Petersburg has long been described, and what has not been described, you have to see for yourself”, - wrote Ivan Goncharov in his first novel The Same Old History, one of the rare editions of which is kept in the Presidential Library’s collections.

December 12, 2021 marks the 255th anniversary of the birth of Nikolay Karamzin, a Russian historian, the greatest writer of the era of sentimentalism, publicist. The Presidential Library’s portal features the electronic collection Nikolay Karamzin (1766–1826), which includes studies, essays and archival documents, his own works on the history of the Russian state, as well as individual letters and notes, new editions and video lectures.

The Presidential Library’s portal features a new collection about Nikolay Nekrasov

December 10, 2021 marks the 200th anniversary of the birth of the recognized classic of Russian literature Nikolay Nekrasov. Marking this significant date in the history of Russian culture the Presidential Library has provided a new collection Nikolay Nekrasov (1821-1878), which included texts of his works, documents about life and career, studies of creativity, magazines, the editor-in-chief of which was the poet himself and other materials.
