The Presidential Library’s electronic reading room opened in Taganrog
October 14, 2021 a remote electronic reading room of the Presidential Library was opened in a solemn atmosphere at the A.P. Chekhov Taganrog Institute, a branch of the Rostov State Economic University. It has become 1300th center of remote access to library resources located in Russia.

Starting October 12-15, 2021, the XII Scientific and Practical Conference "Cultural Heritage: Integration of Resources in the Digital Environment" was held at the Don State Public Library in Rostov-on-Don and the Presidential Library in St. Petersburg as part of the Annual Integration Forum. The event was organized by the Presidential Library, the Federal Archival Agency, the Union of Russian Museums, the Russian Library Association, the Ministry of Culture of Rostov Region and the Don State Public Library.

The winners of the student works contest announced at the Presidential Library
The results of the student works contest were summed up in the Presidential Library. Within the framework of three nominations, the jury members evaluated coursework and final qualifying works, articles, reports and other research materials that participants sent from March 15 to June 30, 2021. 16 people will receive I, II and III degree diplomas.
Seventh Symphony by Dmitry Shostakovich - a rare score in the Presidential Library’s electronic collections
This year marks the 115th anniversary of the birth of Dmitry Shostakovich, the world famous Soviet composer, pianist and teacher. One of his most famous works is the Leningrad Symphony, performed in the besieged city. Articles and books are written about the history of its creation and execution, TV shows and films are shot. So, in the near future, the series directed by Alexander Kott The Seventh Symphony will be screened.
