State Authority Year opened in the Presidential Library
The Day of Knowledge the Presidential Library held the “State authority in information society” conference. It gave a start to the Presidential Library’s thematic year dedicated to state authority.

13 August 2011 representatives of the Presidential Library arrived to San Juan (Puerto-Rico) to attend the IFLA General Conference and Assembly. This year theme of the Congress is: “Libraries beyond libraries: Integration, Innovation and Information for all”.

On July 28, 2011 the Presidential Library hosted events of the Historical and Patriotic Forum for senior pupils “Viva, Russia!”. Teams of senior pupils made presentations of their own research projects, which turned the spotlight on the history of Russia.
“Petersburg Dialogue” forum launched in Germany
On July 17 – 19, 2011 took place the German-Russian Forum called “Petersburg Dialog” (Petersburger Dialog), which has already become a tradition. This year its participants turned the spotlight on interaction between the society and the state in modernization and also raised issues concerning German-Russian relations.

Presidential Library sets up its Reading Room in Sakhalin
On July 15, 2011 in Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk was solemnly opened the Electronic Reading Room of Boris Yeltsin Presidential Library. People of this region have now gained access to the library’s ever-growing electronic collections.
