Russian-Korean Youth Forum participants visited the Presidential Library

5 August 2011 participants of the II Russian-Korean Youth Dialogue visited the Boris Yeltsin Presidential Library. The visit was of introductory nature.

The forum’s participants were given a tour of the library including the Electronic Reading Room, Conference Hall, Multimedia and Exhibition Halls. The guests took a look at the “Open Space” and “Two Capitals” expositions. In multimedia hall the guests attended presentations of the Presidential Library’s holdings and its technical features.

In multimedia format the delegates were provided with information about the Foreign View photo contest organized by the library. It is the annual international photo contest whose idea arose during a working meeting on preparation of the I Russian-Korean Dialogue. This year topic is “21st century state”.

The visitors expressed interest in the possibility to work with archival documents in the library’s reading room and the system of information presentation on interactive screens.

Youth Dialogue will run through 9 August. During this time will be held 5 meetings on social institutions and national stereotypes, globalization processes, role of Russia and the Republic of Korea in the development of security in the region, its attendees will discuss essential tendencies of youth culture of both countries and other problems.
