Alexander Sorokin's film "Northern Convoy - 2005" to be screened and discussed at the Presidential Library

July 5, 2018 at 16:00 the Presidential Library will host the cinema club meeting, where viewers will be introduced to the documentary by Alexander Sorokin's "Northern Convoy - 2005".

Alexander Sorokin presents his works in the Presidential Library not for the first time. Film director, screenwriter, author of more than 20 documentaries, including "What different similarities we are!", "Letter to a friend", "Bark Sedov", "People, Remember Izhora!", "Memory of the Northern Convoys" and other films. Sorokin continues with a confident hand to write a chronicle of the Russian fleet using documentary documents. This time he offers to watch a film of an expedition to the northern seas in order to detect the ships sunk during the last war, escorting the sides of the allied forces with important strategic cargoes.

In addition to the filmmaker, cinema lovers will get together at the Presidential Library with expedition members following the tracks of the northern convoys, who will answer the questions of those present and show the unique materials found in the campaigns.
