The beauty of the Russian Arctic presented at the multimedia exhibition in the Presidential Library

Unusual nature, colorful sunsets and sunrises, a kind of animal world, the life of the peoples of the North - this and much more will be presented in the Presidential Library at the multimedia exhibition “The Attraction of the North. Photographs by Vladimir Plotnitsky”. The exhibition is open from February 28 to March 4, 2019.

Vorkuta photographer, designer, advertising specialist Vladimir Plotnitsky was born in Kiev, in 1981 he moved to live in Vorkuta, and became interested in feature photography. The central theme of his work is tundra and the life of its indigenous people.

The photographer has gained wide recognition from colleagues both in Vorkuta and beyond. The series of his pictures with the beauty of the Arctic are often compared with the landscape painting of the best masters. The works of Vladimir Plotnitsky were exhibited many times, won prizes at various photo contests and were also published in professional editions. The photographs by Vladimir Plotnitsky were elected by the editors of National Geographic magazine to illustrate a thematic issue dedicated to the Russian Arctic.
