Diploma films of Saint-Petersburg State University students to be shown and discussed in the Presidential Library

10 April 2019

April 10, 2019 at 13:00 the Presidential Library will open an exhibition of multimedia works of students and graduates of the "Art" direction of St. Petersburg State University. After the presentation, the guests will be presented documentary and animated mini-films about the French composer Eric Sati, opera singer Galina Vishnevskaya, the works of the Austrian artist Gustav Klimt, as well as films devoted to the Northern capital.

While working on multimedia works, the authors used a whole arsenal of various software products for image processing, creating three-dimensional graphics, as well as editing video materials. As a result, they managed, for example, to revive the frozen heroine of the famous painting by Gustav Klimt - Adel Bloch-Bauer, “Golden Adel”, which is often called the Austrian Mona Lisa. With the help of unusual artistic solutions, students were able to harmoniously combine archival materials, photographs and preserved video clips about the outstanding opera singer Galina Vishnevskaya. Another amazing film, created with the help of animated photographs, will tell about the “Brilliant Petersburg” of the poet Nikolai Agnivtsev.
