The Presidential Library’s Poetry Club to first hold an evening with Petersburg’s poet

April 13, 2019 an evening with Olga Atamanova, scholar and poet, playwright, translator, literary critic, member of the Union of Writers of Russia will be held at 17:00 on Senate Square, 3 as part of the activities of the Presidential Library’s Poetry Club.

Olga Atamanova is the author of eight books, including the historical drama in verse “The Curse of Chancellor Mohr, or Woe from Wit in English”.

The evening of April 13 will be held in the format of live communication. Participants will hear poems from different years by the author, watch a short video about Olga Atamanova’s poetry and be able to ask questions about her life and work.

In addition, the first part of the event traditionally includes an interactive familiarity with the Presidential Library’s e-collections.

The Presidential Library’s Poetry Club has been established for poetry lovers of different ages, poets, readers and performers. Its first meeting took place last November. Since then, the meetings are held regularly, once a month. The main platform is the electronic reading room of the Presidential Library.
