Pavel Glazkov's films to be screened on the International Day for Biological Diversity in the Presidential Library

On May 22, 2019, at 4:00 pm, the 118th cinema club meeting marking the International Day for Biological Diversity will be held at the Presidential Library. Do we know those animals that live next to us in the forests and lakes of Leningrad Region? These and many other interesting questions will be answered at the regular cinema club meeting. On this day, the audience will meet Pavel Glazkov, Candidate of Biological Sciences, leading the video blog “Two of Every Kind” where the author describes animals of Leningrad Region.

The attendees will see the premiere screening of the documentary “Spring migration of geese in Leningrad Region”, a short film by Pavel Glazkov “European Viper” dedicated to the only poisonous snake of North-West Russia, and the film-story about the Petrovsky pond formed on the spot excavated 250 years ago, the famous Thunder-stone - the granite pedestal of the Bronze Horseman will end the meeting. The short film is called “Petrovsky Pond is 250 YEARS OLD!”. The meeting with Pavel Glazkov will come to an end at the monument to the Bronze Horseman, where the author will tell what remains behind the scenes.

The cinema club meeting has been co-organized by the Lennauchfilm film studio, the St. Petersburg Documentary Film Studio, the Russian Institute of Art History and the Youth Center of the Cinematographers Union of the Russian Federation.

The cinema club meeting will be held in the multimedia hall of the Presidential Library at the address: Senate Square, 3.
