Presidential Library invites for a sports Saturday

August 10, 2019 at 2 p.m. the Presidential Library invites you for a Saturday event with the participation of the famous TV and radio host, sports commentator, football history expert Fedor Pogorelov on the day of physical education. The topic will be the results of the 2018 FIFA World Cup in Russia. Guests of the Presidential Library will be able to discuss the sports holiday, its impressions of the best tournament in history as well as future plans for sports facilities built for the World Cup.

The participants of the event are waiting for not only a fascinating discussion, but also the opportunity to learn a lot of new things, look at football from the other side, plunge into the history of the world’s most popular kind of sport. Everyone will be able to learn the materials of the Presidential Library’s collections on the evolution of football, the sports infrastructure in the city and interesting historical posters of football matches and stadiums.

The Presidential Library’s portal features an extensive electronic collection “Sport in Russia”, which includes official documents, archival materials, research, reference and visual materials, periodicals that reflect the history of the development of sports in our country. The highlight is the section devoted to football, formed for the 2018 FIFA World Cup in Russia.

To participate in the event please fill out an electronic form on the Presidential Library’s portal until 2 p.m. August 9, 2019.

Accreditation of media representatives is until 2 p.m. August 9, 2019.

The letter should contain the name, date and place of birth, passport data (series, number, place of registration), a list of carry-on equipment, contact numbers, the name of the media.

The admittance to the Presidential Library is possible only by prior registration and upon showing a passport: participants and guests of the event go through entrance № 1, media representatives go through entrance № 2.
