
Lectures on history, arts and sports available on the Presidential Library’s portal online
The Presidential Library’s portal from Monday to Friday in Live broadcasts section provides broadcasting of films, lectures and tours prepared by the Presidential Library, as well as by leading film studios of the country.
In accordance with the broadcast program from May 18 to 22, each user has the opportunity to learn more about the first naval victory of the Russian fleet, won in battle at Cape Gangut in the Baltic Sea in 1714; to visit the Alexander Suvorov Memorial House-Museum in the village of Konchanskoye in Novgorod Region; to witness the visit of Emperor Nicholas II to Kostroma in 1913; to see the way the Russian Empire lived on the eve of and in the first months of the First World War.
Kirill Nazarenko, doctor of historical sciences, professor at the Institute of History of St. Petersburg University, in his video lecture, will tell about the Order of the Patriotic War - the very first award that appeared during the Great Patriotic War.
The video “Chairmen of Space” is dedicated to the Russian avant-garde and its representatives: Vasily Kandinsky, Pavel Filonov, Kazimir Malevich and others. The documentary film “The teacher of drawing: the history of a magazine” tells about the teacher from Staraya Russa Nikolai Lokotkov - the publisher of the all-Russian magazine for children about art “The Vvedenskaya Side”. The European champion Arseny Klementyev will tell visitors to the Presidential Library’s portal about football freestyle.
