The Presidential Library’s video materials illustrate history of persons

Films and video lectures prepared by the Presidential Library, as well as the leading film studios of the country, are broadcasted live on the Presidential Library’s portal from Monday to Friday in Live broadcasts section.

Thus, in accordance with the broadcasting program, a number of video materials dedicated to the Great Patriotic War will be shown on the institution's portal.

The famous Soviet and Russian writer, screenwriter and public figure Daniil Granin shared his memories of wartime in the documentary "Time to Remember". Thanks to the film "Letters from the Front", viewers will hear family stories, see photographs and letters from participants of the Great Patriotic War. Video lectures will tell users about the lessons of the Second World War in the light of modern geopolitics and about the trends in modern historiography of the Great Patriotic War.

This week, thanks to the broadcasts on the Presidential Library’s portal, it will be possible to learn about the main aspects of the social policy of Catherine II; leaf through the album-catalog of musical publications related to the House of Romanov, and see books from the personal libraries of members of the royal family; hear the poems of Sergei Yesenin performed by the poet himself; visit an exhibition dedicated to the life and career of Yulian Semyonov, which was held in the Presidential Library and was timed to coincide with the 85th anniversary of the writer and journalist.
