Films and lectures about history and literature available on the Presidential Library’s portal

The Presidential Library’s portal from Monday to Friday in Live broadcasts section provides broadcasting of films, video lectures and tours prepared by the Presidential Library, as well as by leading film studios of the country.

In accordance with the broadcast program, on the eve of the Constitution Day of the Russian Federation, December 11, users will be able to learn about the development of constitutional ideas and legislation in Russia at the end of the 20th century: changes in the political system in the USSR; the constitutional crisis of 1992-1993; preparation of the Constitution of the Russian Federation and its adoption. This will become possible thanks to the demonstration on the library's portal of a film about the exhibition "From the history of constitutionalism in Russia: drafts and constitutions of the 18th – 20th centuries".

Online video lectures presented as part of the Presidential Library educational project “Knowledge of Russia” video lecture will tell about the Naval Regulations of Peter the Great, the military legislation of Peter the Great, as well as about the peculiarities of the Russian army during the reign of Catherine II.

The Chudovskaya Luka estate is a favorite place of Nikolai Alekseevich Nekrasov, where he took rest from city worries. He went hunting and talked with ordinary Russian people. More information about his life on Novgorod land is provided in the film "The Hunting Lodge of N. A. Nekrasov".

Without leaving home, one can visit an exhibition dedicated to the artistic images of events and characters in the history of Russia, created by the classics of Russian literature. The Presidential Library's video film "Fact and Image: Russian History in Works of Russian Fiction of the 18th and 20th Centuries" offers a video of the Presidential Library to learn about the works of fiction in original and digitized form, copies of archival documents, scientific works, various illustrative material, as well as video clips of various historical events.
