The Presidential Library and the National Guard of Russia are developing cooperation

Agreement on cooperation between the institution and the Office of the North-Western Order of the Red Star of the District of the National Guard of the Russian Federation will be signed at the Presidential Library (Senate Square, 3) on March 22, 2021 at 12:00.

The main goal of joint activities is to expand cooperation and exchange of experience between institutions in the development of a single information space, to strengthen the ideas of statehood, citizenship and patriotism in the public consciousness, especially among young people.

The signing of the agreement will become the starting point in joint work to create places of access to the Presidential Library’s collections in all structural divisions of the National Guard of Russia in the North-West Federal District of the Russian Federation.

Multimedia exhibition dedicated to the 210th anniversary of the formation of the law enforcement forces and the 5th anniversary of the formation of the troops of the National Guard of the Russian Federation will be open in the Presidential Library on the same day.

The exhibition features materials from the era of Emperor Alexander I, who laid the foundation for the creation of the internal guard of Russia in 1811, unique photographs and documents telling about the organization of the internal security forces of the young Soviet republic, the contribution of internal troops to the Victory over Nazi Germany, post-war history, a new stage in the development of troops - the creation of the Federal Service of the National Guard of the Russian Federation and modern achievements.

The exposition is available until March 29, 2021.

 

Accreditation of media representatives is until 11:00 March 19, 2021.

We draw the attention of the media representatives that it is necessary to forward applications for accreditation and arrive at the event in advance.

Entrance to the Presidential Library is carried out only by prior registration and upon showing a passport: for media representatives - through entrance № 2, participants and guests of the event - through entrance № 1.

In order to reduce the risks of the spread of a new coronavirus infection (COVID-19), the use of personal protective equipment during the event is mandatory for all attendees.
