Films, video lectures and online webinars available on the Presidential Library’s portal

The Presidential Library’s portal from Monday to Friday in Live broadcasts section provides broadcasting of films, video lectures and tours prepared by the Presidential Library, as well as by leading film studios of the country.

In accordance with the broadcast program, from June 28 to July 2, 2021, the Presidential Library invites its users to travel. Thanks to the screening of the film "The Golden Storage of Veliky Novgorod", it will be possible to visit the ancient Novgorod land and take a tour to the Novgorod Museum, which is only partially open to visitors due to the huge number of significant exhibits and the short time that is usually available to get to know them.

Without leaving home it will be possible to make a trip around Bryansk Region, see the most ancient cities and settlements - Vshizh, Starodub, Pochep, Mglin, Bryansk and learn about the unique archaeological monuments on the territory of the Desna River basin and the Russian Plain - the villages of Yudinovo and Khotylevo ... Such an opportunity will be provided by the online screening of the film of the Presidential Library "Frontier Territory".

Another film "Books from the libraries of the Imperial House of the Romanovs in the collections of the Russian State Library", filmed by the specialists of the Presidential Library, tells about the exhibition of the RSL dedicated to the 400th anniversary of the Russian Imperial House of Romanovs, the exhibits of which quite fully reflect the tastes and priorities of their owners, and some remind about the tragic events in the life of the last Romanovs.

The educational project of the Presidential Library video lecture Knowledge of Russia will present a historical video lecture "The Stanovoy Ridge of Russia (Trans-Siberian Project and the Development of Siberia)", which will be shown on the Presidential Library's portal to coincide with the 172nd anniversary of the birth of Sergei Witte, the first Chairman of the Council of Ministers of the Russian Empire, Minister of Railways, one of the main ideologists of the construction of the Transsib.

The informational and methodological webinar "Gavriil Romanovich Derzhavin: marking the 275th anniversary of his birth" will provide an overview of materials from the Presidential Library’s collections, spotlighting the uniqueness of the personality of a statesman and public figure, writer and poet - works and odes by Gavriil Romanovich, unique archival files and biographical essays on his life path, modern dissertations, abstracts on the influence of Derzhavin's work on the development of philological science.
