Films and video lectures available online on the Presidential Library’s portal

The Presidential Library’s portal from Monday to Friday in Live broadcasts section provides broadcasting of films, video lectures and tours prepared by the Presidential Library, as well as by leading film studios of the country.

In accordance with the broadcast program, on the eve and on the day of the 79th anniversary of the defeat of the Nazi troops by the Soviet troops in the Battle of Stalingrad, which is celebrated on February 2, the Presidential Library’s portal will show a film from the cycle “On the Way to the Great Victory” of the documentary collection films of the historical channel "365 days TV" "The next goal is Stalingrad".

The documentary "Space Pilots", based on unique video materials filmed during secret tests at the Research Institute of Aviation and Space Medicine, will show users of the Presidential Library how veterans live, what they remember and dream about. The film is timed to coincide with the 56th anniversary of the world's first landing on the surface of the moon, which was carried out by the Soviet automatic interplanetary station Luna-9.

On the eve of the Remembrance Day of Blessed Xenia of Petersburg, which is celebrated on February 6, the Presidential Library’s portal will show the film “Lessons of Loyalty and Love. Xenia the Blessed”. The name of the film was dictated by the theme of the competition, which was held by the St. Petersburg diocese of the Moscow Patriarchate of the Russian Orthodox Church. The plot is based on the biography of Xenia the Blessed from childhood and adolescence, as well as stories about the most famous predictions and posthumous miracles associated with the name of the patron saint of St. Petersburg. Video works, where the children of the studio talk about the time and place where the film's narrative develops, are combined with animation.

Also, as part of the educational project of the Presidential Library video lecture Knowledge of Russia one has opportunity to learn about the video lectures “Modern Anton Chekhov”, dedicated to the work of the classic of Russian literature, and “Pitirim Sorokin and Modern Times”, which tells about the Russian-American sociologist and culturologist of the 20th century.
