
The Presidential Library to host Cadet Day
The conference "Cadet Day at the Presidential Library" will be held on Senate Square, 3 on April 7, 2022 at 10:00 Moscow time.
This year Cadet Day marks the 210th anniversary of the victory in the Patriotic War of 1812 and is intended to highlight the most important historical events of that time and their reflection in the epic novel "War and Peace" by Leo Tolstoy.
The event will focus on the collective awards of the Russian army of the era of the Napoleonic wars, about French prisoners of war in Russia and about the attitude of Napoleon's army towards Russian prisoners of war, about the coverage of the Patriotic War of 1812 in historical science and in the novel "War and Peace" by Leo Tolstoy and much more.
The Hero of the Russian Federation Rear Admiral Vsevolod Khmyrov is invited to the conference.
Representatives of the Borodino Field Museum-Reserve, the St. Petersburg State University, the N. G. Chernyshevsky Saratov National Research State University, the Military Historical Museum of Artillery, Engineers and Signal Corps, the Military Medical Museum of the Ministry of Defence of the Russian Federation, St. Petersburg Cadet Corps "Boarding School of the Ministry of Defence of the Russian Federation", the editors of the Rodina magazine will speak at the conference.
Pupils of the Nakhimov Naval School, Admiral D. N. Senyavin Marine Technical College, St. Petersburg University of the State Fire Service of the Russian Emergencies Ministry, as well as Suvorov military schools and cadet corps will attend the conference.
The conference is free. The event will be broadcast live on the Presidential Library’s portal in Live broadcasts section, in the Presidential Library’s cinema club group on the VKontakte social network and on the institution's YouTube, Rutube, Telegram.
Accreditation of media representatives is until 10:00 April 6, 2022

The letter should contain the full name, date and place of birth, passport data (series, number, place of registration), a list of carry-on equipment, contact phone numbers, the name of the media.
We draw the attention of the media representatives that it is necessary to forward applications for accreditation and arrive at the event in advance.
Entrance to the Presidential Library is carried out only by prior registration and upon showing a passport: for media representatives - through entrance № 2, participants and guests of the event - through entrance № 1.
In order to reduce the risks of the spread of a new coronavirus infection (COVID-19), the use of personal protective equipment during the event is mandatory for all attendees.
