27 June – 1 July 2022

The Presidential Library’s portal from Monday to Friday in Live broadcasts section provides broadcasting of films, video lectures and tours prepared by the Presidential Library, as well as by leading film studios of the country.

The documentary film "The Saved Frescoes of the Church of the Savior on Nereditsa" tells about the salvation of the murals of ancient temples, their significance in the history of the country and the emergence of statehood. The videotape was filmed with the active participation of specialists from the museum-reserve, restorers, and historians.

Thanks to the film screening "The Golden Treasury of Veliky Novgorod" it will be possible to visit ancient Novgorod land and have a tour around the Novgorod Museum, which is only partially open to visitors due to the huge number of significant exhibits and the short time that is usually available to get to know them.

Also, each user of the portal will be able, without leaving home, to travel around Bryansk Oblast, see the oldest cities and settlements - Vshchizh, Starodub, Pochep, Mglin, Bryansk, and learn about the unique archaeological sites in the basin of the Desna River and the Russian Plain - the villages of Yudinovo and Khotylevo. This opportunity will be provided by the online screening of the film of the Presidential Library "The Borderland".

Another film “Books from the Libraries of the Imperial House of Romanov in the Collections of the Russian State Library” shot by the Presidential Library’s specialists, tells about the exhibition of the Russian State Library dedicated to the 400th anniversary of the Russian Imperial House of Romanov, the exhibits of which quite fully spotlight the tastes and priorities of their owners, and some - remind of the tragic events in the life of the last Romanovs.

As part of the educational project of the Presidential Library’s video lecture Knowledge of Russia a video lecture “The Stanovoi Range of Russia (Trans-Siberian Project and the Development of Siberia)” will be presented. The screening is dedicated to the 173rd anniversary of the birth of Sergei Witte - the first chairman of the Council of Ministers of the Russian Empire, the Minister of Railways, one of the main ideologists of the construction of the Trans-Siberian Railway.

The schedule of broadcasts of films and video lectures for the coming week is available on the Presidential Library’s portal in Live broadcasts section.
