
The Presidential Library to host a presentation of the TV project "Three Men in a Boat"
On November 30, 2022, at 16:00, the Presidential Library will host a presentation of the TV project "Three Men in a Boat", implemented with the support of the Press Committee of the Government of Leningrad Region and the LenTV 24 TV channel.
The aim of the project is to foster love for the native land, interest in the history of Leningrad Region. The authors tell about places in Leningrad Region that are associated with historical events in Russia, iconic characters, about the amazing nature of the region. Special attention is paid to tourist routes recommended by the Committee for Culture and Tourism of Leningrad Region.
Three regular hosts - video blogger, biologist Pavel Glazkov, auto expert Dmitry Popov and journalist Vitaly Lukashov visit different districts of the 47th region. They focus on their uniqueness and make their own discoveries and share them with the audience. The plots also contain information on how to get there, where to stay for the night and have lunch.
4 episodes were filmed in 2022. The film crew visited the Kirovsky, Vyborgsky, Priozersky and Boksitogorsky districts of Leningrad region. An expanded digest of these films will be shown at the cinema club.
In the Kirovsky district of Leningrad Region, the leaders of the "Three Men in a Boat" project will open a new - water - route to the Museum "Breakthrough of the Siege", see the cars raised from the bottom of Ladoga and also find out that St. Petersburg could not have become the Northern capital of Russia...
In the Vyborgsky district, they will learn how...the ships were grown and where they fished for pearls. And after they bake the Vyborg pretzel and visit the parks and on the granite rocks of the Monrepos Park they will go down under the water!
In the Priozersky district "Three Men in a Boat" will visit the astronomical observatory, learn how Peter I celebrated the victory over the Swedes in the fortress of Korela and why Alexander Dumas Sr. came to Vuoksa. And finally, they will find out the correct name of the main city of the district – if it is PrioZersk or PrioZYOrsk.
In Boksitogorsk Region, the film crew will show a unique river that goes underground, and meet it again on the surface, find out where, in addition to St. Petersburg, there is a spire of the Peter and Paul Church and look at the famous Tikhvin water system, through which from the Baltic got to the Volga.
The cinema club meeting will be attended by film director Boris Dedenev and project hosts Vitaly Lukashov (he is also the scriptwriter), Pavel Glazkov and Dmitry Popov.
