On September 21, 2023 at 15:00, the documentary film “Voices of Lost Ships” will be shown as part the Presidential Library's cinema club.
Together with underwater researchers from the reconnaissance diving team, members of the Presidential Library's cinema club will learn how bells appeared on the ships of the Russian fleet, where they were located and what they were intended for. The film will reveal the details of the search for bells on sunken objects and talk about the dangers that underwater searchers had to face. The stories of the death of the ships of the Tallinn breakthrough and the patrol ship "Storm" with the minesweeper "Fugas", the largest warships lying at the bottom of the Gulf of Finland, will be told. This film is a preservation of the memory of the heroes of the Great Patriotic War.
The cinema club participants will meet with Konstantin Bogdanov, the leader of the expedition “Bow to the Ships of the Great Victory”, an underwater explorer, one of the authors of the film Maria Inge-Vechtomova, Director General of the NP Memory of the Tallinn Breakthrough, will also join the conversation.
Over the past few years, the team of the “Bow to the Ships of the Great Victory” project has discovered a large number of ships and vessels, having done what seemed impossible.
