The Presidential Library tells about history of Border Guard Service in Russia

On May 24, 2024, at 15:00 Moscow time, the Presidential Library will host a lecture on the topic "Pages of the history of Border Guard Services and Forces". It will be the continuation of a series of lectures about the history of state security agencies of Russia, which is held within the framework of the video lecture of the Presidential Library "Knowledge of Russia". At the video lecture, listeners will learn about the main activities of the special services, their specifics, the most interesting and significant operations and about outstanding employees.

On May 28, servicemen of the border guard service of the FSB of Russia celebrate their professional holiday – Border Guard Day. Vyacheslav Baranenkov, Major General of Justice, Doctor of Law, Professor, head of the First Border Cadet Military Corps of the Federal Security Service of the Russian Federation, will tell about why this holiday is so significant, why those who served and continue to serve are so proud of it and how the border troops became mythical.

The video lecture is free. The meeting will be broadcasted on the Presidential Library’s portal in Live Broadcasts section in accordance with the program of live events, on the Rutube-channel of the institution, as well as on the social networks VKontakte and Odnoklassniki.
