Presidential Library presents animation project dedicated to Sevmash

On November 19th, 2024 at 16:00, the Presidential Library will be hosting a screening of an animated film about Russia's largest shipbuilding enterprise, part of the United Shipbuilding Corporation. The film is titled Seva and Masha's Journey, and it is a 11-episode project dedicated to the 85th anniversary of the shipyard. This event will take place on the same day as the anniversary, December 21st, 2024.

The film tells the story of the history of the shipbuilding company, nuclear submarine construction, and the Russian navy. It was created by students of the St. Petersburg State Stieglitz Academy of Art and Industry in collaboration with JSC PO Sevmash.

The cartoon was created based on historical documents and materials provided by JSC PO Sevmash within a short period of time - only during four academic months. The main characters, brother and sister Seva and Masha, travel through time to learn about the history of the shipyard's development - from the foundation of the Nikolo-Korelsky Monastery to the present day, including the construction of a giant plant and the creation of Russia's powerful nuclear submarine fleet.

The event will feature representatives from JSC PO Sevmash and the Main Command of the Russian Navy as well as authors and students involved in the project.
