The Presidential Library hosted the events of the III St. Petersburg International Cultural Forum
For three days, from 7 to 9 December 2014, the Presidential Library will host a series of activities of the III St. Petersburg International Cultural Forum - one of the largest events in the cultural life of our country. Forum is organized by the Government of the Russian Federation, Government of St. Petersburg under the support of the Ministry of Culture of the Russian Federation, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation and the Ministry of Mass Communications of the Russian Federation.
Events at the Presidential Library will be held in the framework of sections of the Forum, such as: "Cultural Policy", "Language and Literature" and "Choreography" in the form of discussions on topical issues of development and preservation of culture, support of cultural initiatives at the regional, federal and international levels, promotion of international cooperation in the field of culture. The discussions will be attended by experts in the field of culture, science and education, representatives of the government, politicians and businessmen.
December 7, at 14.00 at the conference hall of the library there will be a round table of Ministers of Culture of the Russian Federation regions on "Fundamentals of cultural policy: challenges and achievements of the Year of Culture in Russia".
December 8, at 10.00 scientific hearings "Russian language - formative source of the development of Russian culture and literature" will be held;
At 12.00 there will be a plenary meeting "2015 - The Year of Literature in Russia" to discuss the issues of international practice of public policy in the field of support for language and literature and the main priorities and plans for the Year of literature in Russia, and a roundtable discussion, "The exact word in the language and culture";
17.00 - interactive roundtable involving Russian regions, "World Literature: 50 shades of sunset or rebirth?" (fiction.)
December 9, at 11.00 - literary-historical seminar "The found Atlantis of Russia (Manuscripts do not burn)" and the presentation of the book-album "Different space of the word" of Boris Eifman Ballet Theatre.
