A new series of multimedia lessons of the Presidential Library reveals the history of the Moscow Kremlin

March 12, 2018 the Presidential Library launched a new series of multimedia lessons for senior pupils of secondary schools, gymnasiums, lyceums. It is dedicated to the 100th anniversary of the move of the capital from Petrograd to Moscow in March 1918 and reveals the history of the Moscow Kremlin - the most important socio-political and historical and artistic complex of Russia. Multimedia lessons will be held until June 8, 2018.

In the classroom, schoolchildren not only learn the centuries-old history of one of the main symbols of the country, but they can also trace how Moscow acquired the status of the capital, and the Kremlin became the main government residence. In addition, electronic voting, discussion and creative task are planned, during which, comparing tsarist Moscow and imperial St. Petersburg, the guys will be able to understand what the similarity and the difference between the two capitals of Russia is. The questions of special quiz will help to check up the received knowledge.

As part of the multimedia lesson, schoolchildren will also visit the exposition of the Presidential Library, timed to the 100th anniversary of the Soviet government's relocation and the move of the capital from Petrograd to Moscow, where, in particular, they learn why this decision was made and how it was implemented.

The project "Multimedia Lessons of the Presidential Library" was launched in December 2013. Over the years of its implementation, more than 16,000 pupils from institutions of secondary (full) general and secondary vocational education attended the lesson.

Similar lessons allow integrating the resources of the modern electronic library and its capabilities in the educational process through the disclosure of methodological means on a multimedia basis of documents devoted to important events in the history of Russia and the establishment of its statehood. Multimedia lessons help promoting knowledge about the history of our country, stimulate students to analytical work, make the learning process more interesting, interactive and maximally productive.
