About 200 Russian schoolchildren have become the finalists of the Presidential Library Olympiad

March 13-15, 2018, the Presidential Library will host the third and the final stage of the annual interactive Olympiad for schoolchildren "Russia in the Electronic World" in history, social studies and the Russian language. 192 students from 44 regions of Russia reached the finals. 

Traditionally, the winners of the first two rounds will be able to meet each other in full-time contest in the building of the Presidential Library in St. Petersburg and its branch in Tyumen. In addition, this year's final will also be held at other venues: on the basis of the N. K. Krupskaya Moscow Regional State Scientific Library (the Moscow region, Pushkino), the Yeltsin Center (Yekaterinburg), the V. G. Belinsky Sverdlovsk Regional Universal Scientific Library (Yekaterinburg), the Don State Public Library (Rostov-on-Don), the Tambov Regional Universal Scientific Library, the Novosibirsk State Regional Scientific Library, the M. Lermontov Penza Regional Library, the Altai Scientific Library State University (Barnaul), the N. I. Lobachevsky Scientific Library of the Kazan Federal University, the I. S. Nikitin Voronezh Regional Universal Scientific Library, the State Library of Yugra (Khanty-Mansiysk). 

To successfully complete the tasks of the final round, schoolchildren will have to turn to the Presidential Library collections, which contain copies of unique audio and video documents, archival materials, rare books and others.

The Olympiad "Russia in the Electronic World" in history and social science is included in the Order of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Russian Federation of 30.08.2017 № 866 "On the approval of the list of schoolchildren's Olympiads and their levels for the 2017/2018 academic year" as the level II Olympiad that gives it winners and prize-awardees the right of preferential admission to universities of Russia. In addition, participants who will take medal places on the "Russian language" discipline will be granted with additional points upon admission to the Herzen State Pedagogical University of Russia.

The letter should indicate the full name, date and place of birth, passport data (series, number, place of registration), list of carry-on equipment, contact numbers, name of the media.

Please, note, that the entrance to the Presidential Library is carried out only upon prior request and upon showing a passport: participants and guests of the event go through entrance № 1, representatives of the media go through entrance № 2.
