Within the framework of seminars, the problems related to the acquisition and cataloging of the Presidential Library's digital collection on the history and theory of Russian statehood, including various types of resources, are considered. Much attention is paid to the formation of the collections of the Presidential Library on the collector principle, the criteria for selecting traditional and electronic documents are justified. As independent topics, the methodology and practice of the work of the Presidential Library with the regions, the formation of a regional component of the digital content of the Presidential Library are implemented. Listeners of the seminars will learn about the activities of the Presidential Library as an integrator of digital resources of libraries, archives, museums.
Lecture and practical classes on cataloging and indexing of various types of resources are provided within the framework of seminars. The OPAC-Global software is used for holding practical lessons.
The target audience of the training seminars of the Presidential Library are specialists of libraries and other organizations carrying out or planning interaction with the Presidential Library in the field of digital content exchange, as well as representatives of libraries - regional centers of the Presidential Library.
The seminars are held by leading specialists of the Presidential Library.
