The Memory of Russia: “The Day of Dostoevsky”Festival in St. Petersburg

«The Day of Dostoevsky» Festival is held on July 7 2018 in St. Petersburg.

«The Day of Dostoevsky» – is a unique action which brings together museums, theatres and libraries of the city. On this day Feodor Dostoevsky and his characters become the highlights of events underway in the city.

The date of the festival is linked with the «Crime and Punishment» novel, which opens with the events in July. «The Day of Dostoevsky», has become a literary tradition of St. Petersburg being held for the 9th time, and is always celebrated on the first Saturday of July.

For each festival the museum is preparing a major play which joins the efforts of famous directors, choreographers, designers and leading actors of theatres in St. Petersburg.

This year the events will be indoor only.
