The President of Russia: Vladimir Putin signed the law commemorating the accession of Crimea, Taman and Kuban to the Russian Empire

The President of Russia Vladimir Putin has signed the Law on Celebration of the Day of Accession of Crimea, Taman and Kuban to the Russian Empire in 1783. The Federal Law sets April 19 as a new public holiday in Russia – the Day of Accession of Crimea, Taman and Kuban to the Russian Empire (1783).

The Federal Law was passed by the State Duma on July 24, 2018 and approved by the Federation Council on July 28, 2018.
