Exhibitions: Exposition marking the 200th anniversary of the birth of artist Sergei Zaryanko underway in the Tretyakov Gallery

On October 16, 2018 the State Tretyakov Gallery presented the exhibition entitled “Sergei Zaryanko. To the 200th anniversary of his birth”.

The retrospective exhibition of the paintings by Sergei Konstantinovich Zaryanko (1818–1870) - a portrait painter, icon painter, master of interior genre - is dedicated to the 200th anniversary of his birth.. 

The State Tretyakov Gallery currently holds 9 paintings, created by the master during different periods of his career. All these paintings along with a portrait of S. K. Zaryanko painted by his pupil A. M. Kolesov are on display as part of the exhibition.
