IT and Culture: The Valaam Monastery to develop its virtual tour

The virtual tour of the Valaam Monastery is currently being developed to make the island accessible to all regardless of the geographic location.

Representatives of the monastery recalled that they have always tried to keep up with the times. Fifteen years after the emergence of photography the Valaam Monastery established its own photo-studio, which was one of the first in the Russian Empire. Now it’s time to turn to new IT.  

The virtual tour will give an opportunity to visit the places, to which ordinary pilgrims and tourists are not admitted.
