International events: Over 400 events in 70 German cities planned as part of Russian Seasons

Over 400 different cultural events are planned in 70 German cities as part of the Russian Seasons in Germany in 2019, Russian Ambassador to Germany Sergey Nechaev has announced.

Over 100 Russian cultural institutions will take part in Russian Seasons in Germany - the large-scale project of the Ministry of Culture of Russia, including the Russian Museum, the Tretyakov Gallery, the Mariinsky Theatre, the All-Russian Youth Orchestra under the direction of Yuri Bashmet, the Moscow Virtuosi Chamber Orchestra, theatres: the Vakhtangov, “Helikon-Opera”, Et Cetera, “School of Modern Play” and many others.

The opening of the “Russian Seasons” in Germany will take place next year on January 7 at the Berlin Philharmonic.

The first Russian Seasons inaugurated in Japan in 2017 were a big success. In 2018 the event was held in Italy. The project was initiated by the Government of the Russian Federation and the Ministry of Culture of the Russian Federation.
