Memory of Russia: New exhibition in Moscow commemorates the centenary of the beginning of the Civil War

The historical and documentary exhibition “Brother against Brother… The Civil War in Russia. 1918–1922”, which marks the centenary of the beginning of the Civil War” was staged on December 25, 2018 in the Exhibition Hall of the Federal Archives in Moscow. Unique exhibits, including never before displayed objects, shed light on the ideological intolerance that led to a merciless armed struggle, caused extremely heavy casualties and changed the image of the country.

The exhibition, that occupies three halls, showcases more than 300 exhibits – original archival documents, museum objects, photographs and paintings, which are complemented by video and audio materials and graphics. The exhibition “Brother against Brother… Civil War in Russia. 1918–1922” is aimed at both historians, and general public that takes an interest in the national history.
